Angels

It is always such a joy to be a part of the long artistic history of a quilt.

The center of this quilt is an amazing cross stitch — My client made it in the ’90s and it took her 4 years to complete! It’s a beautiful example of needlework made with thread and beads.

My own inspiration for the border came from the way the rays of the star and the three angels create a beautiful triangle in the center.

And the custom quilting was done by the very talented Julia Jeans at Thread Dancing. I’m grateful to have been part of this design process!
